Tesla's Robotaxi vehicle count in the Texas state automated-vehicle registry rose to 1,244 by November 1, up from roughly 546 at the end of September, according to tracker data cited by Benzinga. That leaves Tesla 15 units short of Waymo's 1,259 registered vehicles. The registry shows vehicle counts only; it does not reveal how many cars carry paying riders, how often they run trips, or whether a human safety monitor is aboard. Management has said on the third-quarter call that the Austin Cybercab fleet grew tenfold in about a month and that unsupervised Robotaxi miles rose eightfold during the quarter.
- Texas registry tracker shows Tesla Robotaxi LLC at 1,244 vehicles on Nov. 1, versus 546 on Sept. 30 (a 128% increase).
- Waymo's registered count in the same snapshot was 1,259 vehicles.
- Recent additions included 631 Model Ys and 573 Cybercabs, plus 40 entries under a apparent model-name typo.
- On the Q3 call, management said the Austin Cybercab fleet grew tenfold in roughly a month.
- CFO Vaibhav Taneja said cumulative unsupervised Robotaxi miles rose eightfold during Q3.
