Per a Bloomberg report dated November 3, 2026, some Disney managers have been asked to find annual savings equal to 20% of costs, using job eliminations alongside other spending reductions. Disney has not disclosed how many roles might be impacted, and the effects are expected to vary between its TV networks, movie studio and other units. The company declined to respond to requests for comment. This follows multiple workforce actions under CEO Josh D'Amaro: roughly 1,000 positions cut in April, layoffs in July, about 300 in September, and a recent reduction of 100 to 200 Experiences jobs connected to Imagineering. Leadership links the savings to putting money back into content, technology and guest experiences, and Disney is aiming for double-digit adjusted earnings-per-share growth this fiscal year. Fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 results are set for November 12.
