Methodology

Our content is AI-assisted and human-reviewed. Moatkeep's editorials and research reports are drafted by AI systems that work from the same primary data you see on the site — SEC filings, price history, and computed metrics — under instructions and constraints written by us. Every piece is reviewed by a human editor before publication. The reviewing editor is accountable for what is published. We do not attribute content to an AI persona; the byline "Moatkeep Research" (reports) or "Moatkeep Editorial" (editorials) means content produced under this process and this accountability.

What the process is — and is not. AI drafting lets us cover more data; human review is there to catch errors, remove unsupported claims, and enforce our editorial policy. Review reduces, but cannot eliminate, the risk of error in AI-assisted text. Published research reports are frozen at publication ("data as of" the date shown) and are not silently rewritten afterwards; corrections are handled under our editorial policy.

Where the data comes from. Company fundamentals come from public regulatory filings (SEC EDGAR), normalised so the same line means the same thing across companies and accounting standards. Prices are end-of-day figures corroborated across independent sources; computed metrics carry data-quality gates that hold back figures that fail our checks rather than displaying them.
