JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon has personally contacted executives at more than 40 major banks, regional lenders, and IT companies to expand the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), a JPMorgan-backed initiative aimed at strengthening critical infrastructure security in response to growing AI risks. The outreach began in July with further calls scheduled for August to discuss cybersecurity collaboration and improve understanding of artificial intelligence uses, risks, and safeguards while coordinating with the Trump administration. The initiative comes amid recent cyberattacks on U.S. water systems and Dimon's earlier warnings that powerful AI models being broadly distributed could be like giving ballistic missiles to individuals.
