Dividend/share growth (YoY)

The year-over-year change in the dividend paid per share — the rate at which a company is raising its cash distribution to shareholders. A long record of steady increases is a hallmark of durable, shareholder-friendly businesses. Not-meaningful when the prior year paid no dividend.

Formula

(latest FY dividend/share − prior FY dividend/share) ÷ prior FY dividend/share × 100
