CalciMedica, Inc.

Calcimedica is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapeutics that target calcium release-activated calcium (CRAC) channels to treat serious illnesses driven by inflammation, immune dysfunction, and cellular damage. The company's lead candidate, Auxora, is a small-molecule CRAC channel inhibitor being evaluated in clinical trials for acute conditions including acute pancreatitis, acute kidney injury, and severe respiratory failure, with the potential to both reduce inflammatory signaling and protect tissue cells from calcium-mediated injury. The company also develops CM5480, another CRAC channel inhibitor, for pulmonary arterial hypertension and maintains preclinical programs in chronic inflammatory diseases. Calcimedica generates revenue and value through clinical development programs, with commercialization expected to depend on internal sales and marketing resources combined with third-party partnerships and contract manufacturing arrangements.
