EPS growth (YoY)

The year-over-year change in diluted earnings per share — per-share earnings power, so it already reflects any dilution or buybacks. The metric that most directly drives long-run returns. Not-meaningful when the prior year's EPS was zero or a loss (the base is non-positive).

Formula

(latest FY diluted EPS − prior FY diluted EPS) ÷ prior FY diluted EPS × 100
